Dr. Cameto is a board certified orthopedic surgeon in practice since 1980 who joined Northern California Orthopedic Center when it began in 1995.  Dr. Cameto specializes in sports medicine, arthritis treatment, total joint replacement and trauma care.

Dr. Cameto earned his medical degree from the University of California (UC), Irvine, College of Medicine.  He then completed a general surgery internship and orthopedic surgery residency at UC San Francisco.  Dr. Cameto also completed an advanced fellowship at the Duchess of Kent Children’s Orthopaedic Hospital in Hong Kong.  His extensive training is further enhanced by his continuous ongoing education.  Dr. Cameto is also a fellow of the American Academy of Orthopaedic Surgeons and a member of the Alpha Omega Alpha Honor Medical Society. 

His previous experience as an athlete allows Dr. Cameto to fully understand his patients’ needs, and work with them to deliver the best possible treatment plans.  He believes that follow up care is just as important as initial treatment, and works with his patients throughout their recovery to ensure a quick and healthy return to normal activity.  Dr. Cameto also dedicates his time as team doctor for a local high school football team.  In his spare time, Dr. Cameto enjoys skiing, traveling and spending time with his wife and children.
